Make a Contribution

Would you like to contribute to the Nome Community Center and help the people of the Bering Strait Region? Here are a couple of ways:

All contributions are tax deductible, and a receipt will be sent immediately upon arrival. If you know of a specific program to which you would like to contribute, please mark on the donation your preferred program. 

Along with financial contributions, NCC also seeks donations of various items for our programs.

Some ideas are: toys, board games, baby items (diapers, clothes, bottles, etc), school supplies, children’s shoes, winter boots & gear, digital cameras (10 mega pixels), acrylic paints for murals, snow machine trailer, crafting beads & beading needles.

Donating Airline Miles

An innovative way to make a contribution is by donating Alaska Airlines Miles to the Community Center.  Miles help supplement travel needs for extended staff training and allows personnel to take youth on various trips that support the programmatic goals of the agency. 

In 2006, eight Youth Court members were taken to Kodiak for the state Youth Court Conference, a highly-educational and social-networking event.  In 2007, state funding was cut that allowed this trip to occur, therefore making travel impossible this year. 

Your miles would help ensure these youth--and other persons involved with our programs--do not miss opportunities like this in the future.

How to Volunteer

You can volunteer by contacting the NCC by phone at (907) 443-5259 or by emailing Lance Johnson at ljohnson@nomecc.org.  A variety of opportunities are available including services at our Food Bank, with our Community Service Program, at the XYZ Senior Center, and with our many youth group activities.
