The Nome Community Center offers housing stabilization programs designed to help individuals and families maintain safe, stable housing and overcome temporary housing crises. Whether you are facing eviction, struggling with utility shut-off notices, behind on rent, transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing, or working toward long-term housing stability, our programs may be able to help.
Our assistance programs are intended to prevent homelessness, support housing retention, and help households achieve greater stability and self-sufficiency. Services may include financial assistance for eligible housing-related expenses, housing stabilization support, and assistance for individuals and families moving into permanent housing. Each application is reviewed individually based on household circumstances, program eligibility requirements, available funding, and supporting documentation.

Depending on the program, you may be asked to provide proof of income, past-due bills, eviction or shut-off notices, landlord information, housing documentation, or verification from tribal organizations and other agencies.
